Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 9, 2026
This notice explains what Kalm King (kalmking.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. Kalm King publishes this site and the Field Notes email list. Questions: hello@kalmking.com.
What we collect
- Field Notes signups: your email address (required), and if you choose to share them, your first name and what brought you to Kalm King (for example overalls, jumpsuits or style advice). We also record that you ticked the consent box, the wording you agreed to, and when you signed up.
- Technical data: when you submit a form, our site records your IP address, browser type and the page you signed up from, to prevent spam and keep a record of your consent.
- Site analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). Google Analytics uses cookies.
How we use it
- To send you Field Notes emails you asked for: style guides, reader questions, polls and Kalm King studio and product development updates.
- To understand what readers are interested in, so we can plan guides and products.
- To keep the site secure and working.
Signing up does not reserve a garment or commit you to a purchase. We do not sell your personal information.
Signing up and unsubscribing
When you sign up and tick the consent box, you join the Field Notes list straight away. Every Field Notes email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You can also email hello@kalmking.com to be removed.
Who processes your data
- Hostinger hosts this website and provides Hostinger Reach, which stores Field Notes contacts and sends our emails.
- WordPress plugins on our site (Contact Form 7 and Flamingo) handle the signup form and keep a copy of each submission in our site’s admin area.
- Google provides Google Analytics.
- Our site admin inbox receives an email notification of each signup.
How long we keep it
We keep your Field Notes details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until the list is closed.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@kalmking.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
